The 2009 – 2010 season saw the Dallas Cowboys have a great win at the NFC East Division that made them reach the playoffs based on which they are looking forward to winning the 2010 – 11 season too. The group boasts of stellar players like DeMarcus Ware, Jay Ratliff and Anthony Spencer. Some of the key players in the team like left guard Kyle Kosier, right tackle Marc Colombo, safety Gerald Sensabaugh and linebacker Keith Brooking, could make it tough for the Dallas Cowboys. However, with all the players giving in their best, reports say that the team stands a good chance to win and make it to the Super Bowl. If you do not hurry, you might miss your favorite place at the game because the tickets are never around for long.

Dallas has been one of the most successful franchises in the history of NFL and had the privilege to appear in eight Super Bowls. This is more than any other team had appeared and won five games. The San Francisco 49ers as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers probably matched this record. Tom Landry a legendary coach in the history of football coached two of the Super Bowl games that this team went to in the 1970s. Landry was a popular sight in the Dallas Cowboys sideline between 1960 and 1988. The Dallas Cowboys were guided to 5 Super Bowl appearances by Landry, which gathered 270 career wins for him.

The NFL had an expansion in the 1960 and that is when the Dallas Cowboys joined the NFL. In the first season, the team did not win any games but it was in 1965 that the team saw the face of victory under Landry. It was with the excellent efforts of specially Quarterback Don Meredith, receiver Bob Hayes, and running back Dan Reeves that the Dallas Cowboys could participate in consecutive NFL Championship Games in 1966 and 1967. In both these years, the Dallas Cowboys lost the match to the Green Bay Packers.

Dallas Cowboys defeated the Houston Oilers and the Detroit Lions in the playoffs and finally reached the Super Bowl V in 1971. The franchise did win the first Super Bowl in 1972 defeating the Dolphins 24-3 but had earlier been defeated by the Baltimore Colts. In the 1980s, the Dallas Cowboys entered a rebuilding phase but lost 3 consecutive seasons. It was then that Landry retired as coach in 1989. He was replaced by former head coach from the University of Miami – Jimmy Johnson. He was the one to guide the cowboys to the postseason in 1991. He even earned the coach of the year honor in 1990 for the rebuilding success that he gave the Dallas Cowboys.

Johnson had a disagreement with team owner Jerry Jones and quit the Dallas Cowboys team, which then was headed by the former University of Oklahoma head coach Barry Switzer. He was coach for the team from 1994 to 1997. The team got its fifth win at the Super Bowl under his guidance. The team won over the Steelers in 1996 and the Dallas Cowboys became the first to win three Super Bowls in 4 seasons. The 1990s however, saw the Cowboys struggle for a post season success.
