Donruss began producing sports cards in 1980 when they released a baseball set to compete with Topps and Fleer. Since then Donruss has continued to produce cards and guide the sports card industry into a new era. Donruss is part of the Playoff Inc. company and produces many of the top brands today.

Donruss began producing football cards in 1996 and today produces some of the best brands on the market including Elite, Classics, and Gridiron Kings. Along with Leaf brands like Certified Materials, Limited, and Rookies & Stars which always seems to produce the hardest to find rookie cards!
