Roger Staubach was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the tenth round of the 1964 NFL Draft. Because of a 4 year Navy committment, Staubach wasn't able to play for the Cowboys until 1969. His Rookie card appears in the 2nd series of the 1972 Topps regular football card set. The 1972 Topps Roger Staubach rookie card in raw lower conditions can be found for less than $50 but high graded versions can run in the hundreds if not thousands. Most of these cards have centering issues which makes high graded, well centered versions rare and quite valuable.
