Tony Dorsett, RB from the University of Pittsburgh, was the Heisman Trophy winner in 1976 and was the Dallas Cowboys number 1 pick (2nd Pick overall) in the 1977 NFL Draft. Tony Dorsett made an immediate impact on the Dallas Cowboys during his rookie season by rushing for 1,007 yards and he helped lead the team to a Super Bowl victory over the Broncos in Super Bowl XII. He played in 2 Super Bowls, 5 NFC championship games, and 4 Pro Bowls. He led the NFC in rushing in 1981 and was 2nd to only Walter Payton in rushing with 12,739 yards when he retired in 1989. Tony Dorsett's 99 Yard TD run against the Minnesota Vikings in 1983 is still a record today and it can never be broken, only tied! Tony Dorsett was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
