Michael Irvin memorabilia - Dallas Cowboys

Michael Irvin was the Cowboys #1 pick in the 1988 NFL Draft (11th overall). The last pick in the first round of an NFL draft by Tom Landry, not a bad one either. Michael became one of the most prolific wide receivers of his time. He was a big target and not afraid to go over the middle but with the ability to get deep. He set a Cowboy record with 111 catches and 1603 yards in 1995. The Triplets, as they were known by (Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, & Troy Aikman) were the most feared offensive set in the game for almost a decade. The Cowboys won 3 Super Bowls with Michael Irvin as their inspirational leader on and off the field. Easily the most vocal of the trio, Michael led by example by giving all he had every time he was on the field. A neck injury in 1999 forced an early retirement otherwise his numbers may have been even more impressive, as it is, he is the Dallas Cowboys ALL TIME leading receiver in catches, yards, and 2nd in TDs behind the 'Bullet' Bob Hayes. Not a bad pick coach Landry, not a bad pick at all!
