Terence Newman CB Cowboys
Terence Newman was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1st round (5th overall pick) of the 2003 NFL Draft. Terence is the most decorated defensive player in Kansas State history and joins another Jim Thorpe Award winner in the Dallas Cowboys secondary, Roy Williams. Terence is expected to become a shut down corner and be a staple in the Cowboys defense for years to come. Terence showed signs of greatness in his rookie season when he intercepted 3 passes in 1 game tying a Cowboy record. He ended his rookie campaign with 4 interceptions and 76 tackles. Terence struggled early in his sophmore campaign as the Cowboys defense looked for ways to replace an injured corner and the loss of safety Darren Woodson.
