 Cliff
Harris was an undrafted free agent in 1970. The
Cowboys saw his potential and quickly signed the free
agent. Cliff became a starter his rookie season, which
was interrupted by a military commitment. Cliff regained
his starting spot the next year and never relinquished
it until his retirement in 1980. During his career
Cliff played in 5 Super Bowls, winning 2, 6 Pro Bowls,
and was named to the All NFL team 4 consecutive seasons.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee
also named Cliff to the All-Pro Team of the 1970's.
It appears that Hall of Fame selection is just around
the corner for Cliff, that and The Cowboys Ring of
Honor seem a bit over due! |
