Rayfield
Wright was drafted in the 7th round of the 1967
NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys as a Tight End. Rayfield
was also an all american basketball player at Fort
Valley State and could have played professional baseketball
but opted for the NFL instead. The Cowboys are glad
he did because once they decided to move Rayfield
to the offensive line he became one of the most dominant
players in the game. During his 13 years with the
Cowboys, Rayfield played in 5 Super Bowls, winning
2, 6 straight Pro Bowls, and was on 12 playoff teams.
Rayfield was inducted into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor in 2004.
Rayfield was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
