Billy Joe DuPree, TE from Michigan State University, was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1st round (20th overall) of the 1973 NFL Draft. Billy Joe was considered one of the best blocking tight ends in the league during his playing days. He was named to 2 Pro Bowls and helped the Cowboys to a Super Bowl Championship and 3 NFC Championships. Billy Joe was a major part of the Cowboys explosive offense for 11 seasons. He caught 267 passes for 3,565 and 41 touchdowns during his career.
