Bob Lilly Dallas Cowboy football cards

Bob Lilly, DT from Texas Christian University, was the 1st draft pick ever the Dallas Cowboys. Not a bad inaugural choice either. Lilly played 14 years for the Cowboys and was a all Pro for 11 of those 14 years. Bob Lilly was the anchor for the original 'Doomsday Defense'! One of the most competitive players of his time, Lilly led the Cowboys to the Pinnacle of the NFL with a Super Bowl victory in 1971. Bob Lilly was promptly enshrined in the Ring of Honor at Texas Stadium upon his retirement in 1975 and was elected the Pro Football Hall of Fame on his 1st ballot in 1980. Lilly was elected to the 75th anniversary all NFL team in 1994. Bob was simply the best player at his position during his tenure as a NFL player and was rightfully known as Mr. Cowboy!
