Jim Ridlon, RB and DB from Syracuse University, was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the 4th round of the 1957 NFL Draft. Jim played DB for 49er's for 6 seasons, intercepting 5 passes during his time in San Francisco. In 1963, Jim was traded to the Dallas Cowboys. Jim played in Dallas for 2 seasons, and enjoyed his finest professional season and his last in 1964. Jim intercepted 4 passes in 1964, returning 1 74 yards for a touchdown. He also returned a fumble 63 yards for a score that same year. Jim retired after the 1964 season with a career 9 interceptions. After Football, Jim became one of America's Top Sports sculptors and in 1988, he was commissioned to design and sculpt one of college football's most prestigious awards, the Outland Trophy.
