Mark Tuinei, Offensive Lineman from the University of Hawaii, was an undrafted free agent out of college. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 1983 and played at the highest level for the next 15 seasons. He made 2 Pro Bowls and helped the Cowboys win 3 Super Bowls in the early 90s. Mark helped protect Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman and paved the way for Emmitt Smith to become the leagues all time leading rusher. Mark retired from Pro Football after the 1997 season and planned to return to his native Hawaii as a coach for his old school. Mark Tuinei was found unconscious in his car in May of 1999 and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital in Plano, TX. Marks death was the result of an apparent drug overdose.
